Introduction	Valerie is a yogi and writer based in Doha, Qatar. She has had numerous short stories published, writes regularly on yoga for local publications and is the editor of How We live our Yoga (Beacon 2002,) a collection of literary essays on yoga. She is currently at work on a PhD and her current research interests explore the link between creative arts practice, the cultural anthology of the senses,and the relationship of embodiment to creative endevours.
