Introduction Born in 1977, Anant Dhavale is an internationally published poet and critic who writes poetry and fiction in Marathi, Urdu, and English languages. His notable published works include "What the Tornado Left Behind" (2023), "Nobody’s War" (2023), "Mook Aranyatali Paanagal" (2005), and "Meer" (2004/5). Anant's poems have been featured in literary journals across all these languages, including Nava Anushtubh, Kavita Ratee, Asmita Darsh, Aaj-Kal (Urdu), Saakhsat, Kusumakar, The Open Road Review, NovaBards (Northern Virginia Bards), Poets to Come (Walt Whitman Bicentennial anthology), Poets Anonymous, Spilled Ink (anthologies), and Bourgeon Magazine (the Mid-Atlantic review). His poetry has also been translated into Urdu and Gujarati languages. Additionally, Anant serves as the founder editor of 'Samkaleen Gazal' (Contemporary Ghazal), an online literary poetry initiative, and a non-periodical literary review. Anant works as a consultant in the Information technology industry and lives in Herndon, VA with his wife and son.
