| Introduction | Christopher Bogart is a retired high school English teacher. He is a recipient of the New Jersey State Department of Education “Best Practice” Award, and a Hall of Fame Member of the “A+ For Kids” Teachers’ Network. He is listed in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers (2004, 2005, and 2006) and was selected as a Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction (2006, 2007). As a working poet, he is a member of Jersey Shore Poets, a new writing group. He is a member of the New Jersey Poetry Society. As a published poet, his work has appeared in collections of poems, entitled Voices Rising from the Grove, Spindrift, as well as various online sites. On August 1, 2005, in response to an invitation from the international think tank, The Oxford Round Table, he presented the "keynote" paper for the Round Table's five day session on the educational initiative "Reading First" at The Oxford Union Society Debate Hall at Oxford University in Oxford, England.
