| Introduction | My name is Megan Harlow and I am a sophomore at Austin Community College. I was raised with both parents being Republicans therefor most of their own view points have been swayed on me. I consider myself a Republican as for now, however, the older I am getting and the more knowledge I am receiving I am starting to have my own opinion. Most of my political influence comes from the people I am surrounded by, my religion, and the age I am. I have little political experience because I am not a registered voter, however, I know that needs to change. I am taking this Texas government class not only for the requirement, but because I believe that I should know the state and the laws that I am supposed to abide by. I hope that when I leave this class I will be able to understand the laws and the backbone of the state I live in. |
