Introduction	Alex Fieldcamp is happy that his mother is a Cuban immigrant who came to the United States as a child to begin a new life. Fieldcamp has had multiple opportunities to visit his family in Cuba, where he has learned more about his ancestors. On one of his excursions, he drove from Havana to Santiago across the length of the island, a journey he recalls clearly to this day. Alexander Fieldcamp was born and reared in New York City, where he now resides. He attended St. Bernard's School, Loyola, and Groton for his early education. Fieldcamp's interest in money and markets led him to the undergraduate business school at Cornell University, where he majored in Applied Economics with a specialty in Finance.
