| Introduction | I've always believed in ideals like love, peace, justice, truth, beauty, etc. I never understood that some people have to fight for them. Almost five years ago I went to the Holy Land for the first time. I found injustice, violence, destruction, deceit, and suffering. Not everyone sees such things in that region, but if one opens her eyes just a little, confrontation in inevitable. I believe in fighting for a better world. And for me, that starts here. My life is dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge, for if we see the truth, perhaps we will take responsibility for what we have created and challenge ourselves and our creations to do and be better. I have to believe in the possibility of all that is good, in the promise of peace. And so, I return to the Holy Land, and herein are my observations. |
