About me

IntroductionChristian faith and belief in biblical inerrancy don’t have to go together. There’s nothing at all contradictory in the idea of a Christian errantist. In fact, that’s what I am. I’ve been a Christian since 1999, and have spent a significant amount of time and energy studying the Bible. Over time, my understanding of it has changed. Early on, I believed in inerrancy. I knew that there were some difficult passages in the Bible, but had seen many claims of error answered and thought it reasonable to believe that all could ultimately be resolved. I no longer hold to such a high view of Scripture. I believe that the Bible is generally reliable, authoritative, in some sense inspired, and properly treated a sound basis for faith. But I no longer treat it as a magic book. I've created a website to explore apparent errors in the Bible. To try to sort the good claims of error from the bad, I've included a user ratings system, so if you have a moment please visit and let me know which claims of error you find most and least persuasive.
