| Introduction | As a former teacher who dealt with students struggling with all types of learning disabilities, I would never have thought that there would be similarities in my own family. Diagnosed as a bipolar at 36, my daughter has had to completely relearn how to live with this illness. I have learned, also. I hope that my experiences through the years with her misdiagnosed illness will be beneficial to others. Her story "The Other Side of Midnight" is presently being submitted to publishers. In reseaching this illness more thoroughly, it has become evident that this illness has plagued other family members through the years. |
