| Introduction | I live in South Wales UK with my husband, Len, and my Cavalier King Charles, Charlie. We also have a cottage in Brittany, France, so we spend our time between the two. I love reading and writing, especially verse and I wrote a book called "A String of Pearls", a Yearbook of Daily Inspiration to soothe the soul and rekindle the spirit, when I left teaching four years ago. I have always been interested in the spiritual journey and would love to meet like minded souls. I play golf badly but I enjoy it and hope to improve. I speak French and am part of the French Society locally and as most of our holidays are spent in France I have plenty of opportunities to practice. I have a grown up son who has recently become engaged to a lovely girl and so wedding plans are on the horizon. I was a teacher for 27 years and although I was glad to leave the profession I initially found the transition from work to non work quite difficult. It seems to me that the world of non work, so sought after for so long by so many, can be challenging and I am trying to create a fulfilling retirement. |
