| Introduction | A little about me: I grew up loving the idea of farming but never really understood it. I would go to my uncle's farm a few times a year to help in their chicken house and feed the few cows they had at their home, but it never really dawned on me how hard the life really is. I married Chad a little over 2 years ago and with him came farm life. Before we married, I helped him on the farm and do some of the chores but never had full responsibilites for it. Now being married, its a new lifestyle to get used to. I currently work full time in the medical field at a small urgent care center. At the moment my husband, works full time for another farming family where they have field work and raise beef cattle. In his free time, if any, he helps to run the family farm with his uncle. This leaves little time for our family. I knew our life would have obsticles when we married just wish I could have been more prepared or had more insight to what my role really would be as a farmer's wife! I love my husband more then anything...and am learning to love the farm as much as he does. |
