| Introduction | I graduated from Middlebury College in 1981 and worked as a graphic artist and advertising director until 1994. I received elementary teaching certification from St. Joseph's College in 1995, and a Masters in Educational Psychology/Gifted Education from the University of Connecticut in 1997. While pursuing my Masters, I worked for three years with Dr. Joseph Renzulli and Dr. Sally Reis at the Neag Center for Gifted Education on various projects: The Enrichment Cluster pilot program, UConn Mentor Connection, and as an editor of the book, The Schoolwide Enrichment Model. I have participated in the summer gifted education conference, Confratute, for many years, both as an attendee and as strand instructor. I was hired as Enrichment Coordinator at Ashford School in 1997. In 2008 the enrichment program expanded to include science instruction to follow all State Standards for grades 1-5. I am a member of the National Science Teachers' Association, have taken numerous workshops in science education and am currently enrolled in a graduate online science course through NSTA. I thoroughly enjoy working with students in Ashford. My husband and I have three children and live in Storrs. |
