Do you believe that forks are evolved from spoons?

I'm pretty sure forks came first. I imagine that stabbing tools (sticks, let's say) were a more natural first tool for humanity. Also, are we to believe that early hominids were making soup and yogurt and ice cream and other such liqueous foods that require a spoon from which to slurp? I'm thinking not.
