| Introduction | My name is Stacey Bogle, and I am the founder of PACS and PAUSE. In April of 2010 my husband and I were talking about why some people die and why others don’t and is there a purpose for those that die. My son Jaleel died in June of 2006 when a pillow accidentally suffocated him when we were bed sharing. My husband, Jason, said maybe he died so I could educate other parents on how dangerous bed sharing is. So I went on Facebook and in the search engine typed co-sleeping and I was surprised what pulled up. There are fan pages like “I HEART Co-Sleeping” or another one called, “Bed-Sharing/Co-Sleeping/Family-Bed”, but there was nothing to educate parents on the dangers of bed sharing. I couldn’t believe it, so I created a page called, “Parents Against Co-Sleeping” also known as PACS. Within a year we had over 1,000 fans. |
