| Introduction | This effort at reviewing the National Education Policy is both timely and necessary. First, as a policy, a periodic review is necessary to align it with developing current national initiative, as well as, emerging global trends. When, the National Policy was first enunciated in 1977 the educational system was 'manual' -driven, while almost 30 years on, education has become electronically/ globally ICT-driven and Nigeria cannot be an exception. That is why we now have such concepts as e-education, e-classrooms, e-library or even e-governance. |
