| Introduction | I'm Shae, I have gone through so much in my relatively short life and I am so grateful for the strength I continue to have to survive. I know that God has had a large hand in that and I continue to rely on his strength and carry his burden, for it is infinitely lighter than mine. I am a teacher, friend, sister, daughter, wife, and child of God. I work hard to remind myself that I am beautiful inside and out. I have struggled with depression, anxiety, suicidal tendencies, and self-harm. I am by no means perfect, nor am I the end all or be all for answers. I try my best and that's amazing! I lost my husband to suicide years ago and I have chosen to see that as an opportunity to grow. I work hard every day to improve. I have grown to love myself with all my quirks and imperfections. I have been impressed with the growth I have seen in myself and others as we all learned to cope with what was going on in our lives. |
