Introduction	I work as a volunteer at Millstream Animal Shelter, Manchester, and am a member of Failsworth and Beyond Women's Institute (FAB WI). I love all animals and have 4 cats. I am trying to be more self-sufficient by growing veg and fruit. I have spent several holidays in Flanders, Belgium, and am trying to learn Dutch, so one of my blogs is written in Dutch, so that I get some practice, at least.
Interests	Gardening, photography, reading, creative writing, learning Dutch, drawing and painting.
Favorite movies	The Miss Marple films with Margaret Rutherford, The Happiest Days of Your Life, the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, Aanrijding in Moscou.
Favorite music	Classical music especially Early Music and Baroque, British Light Music, Steeleye Span, bits of this, that and the other.
Favorite books	Lucky Jim by Kingsley Amis, Three Men in a Boat by Jerome K. Jerome, My Turn to Make the Tea by Monica Dickens, Cobblers Dream by Monica Dickens.
