| Introduction | Over the years we have been asked to share many recipes, recording them in this blog will be a great way to share our food as it happens. I’d love some feedback so please let me know what you think. My love of food stems from my parents. My mother taught me how to cook, she is still one of the best cooks I know. A great home cook with taste and flair who has never stopped learning and sharing. My father taught me to try new food and the pleasure of the freshly dug spud! I grew up in small town NZ where in the early 1970's we shared the town with an Italian tunneling company that bought with them what in those days seemed to be such exotic food. When others my age where eating chops and boiled veg I was in a neighbors kitchen learning to cook gnocchi and make a good tomato sauce. When spaghetti came in tins I was covered in egg and flour hanging pasta over broom handles. These days we live in country NSW and eat fresh (from our own kitchen garden) or local food that is good for you and yours…. I'm married to Nick and together we love nothing more than cooking and entertaining with friends and family. |

| Favorite books | I have a huge, used and much loved collection of cookbooks. Covering many different cuisines and authors from all over the globe, my friends, family and colleagues have added to my collection and they along with my large collection of food magazines are used and reused frequently. I spend hours reading food books, blogs and magazines. I promise to quote the authors as I go. |
