Introduction	Thanks for stopping by. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, and a lifelong Midwesterner. I began writing this blog 10 years ago when my oldest son was a high school senior. It started as a way for me to share about parenting and my emotions surrounding my oldest leaving for college. As our boys grew up, my role as a parent and the blog shifted. Now, it has become a place to express my thoughts, experiences, fears, and feelings about various things along life's journey. While these words have been written primarily for me, I hope that by sharing them here, they will also touch others. Also, the name 60 feet 6 inches to Home came from baseball. It is the distance from the pitching mound to home plate. I love the game of baseball. I am so grateful for the people it has brought into my life, the memories we have shared, and the connection it has created between my boys and me.
