About me

IntroductionMy name is Gideon Opoku and I am currently a senior at The College of New Jersey. Currently majoring in Mechanical Engineering and planning on receiving my bachelor’s degree in May of 2010. I also want to receive my master degree at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I was born and raised in Ghana West Africa and speak three different native languages excluding English. Been born in Africa has always given me a different outlook in life. I have learned to take my education very serious and make use of my opportunities because as Laurence Peter quoted “Fortune knocks but once, but misfortune has much more patience.” From my own perspective, being successful means being a major assess to society. I love to travel and experience different type of culture since am very traditional oriented. I have been to Togo, Nigeria, South Africa, England, and can’t wait to visit more countries trough out my career. Currently a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc operated and also a member of NSBE (Nation Society of Black Engineers).
