| Introduction | My name is Barbara Metcalf… or just Barb to my friends. I have been married to Bob Metcalf for almost 36 years. Yeah, that's a really long time. I am a currently unemployed graphic designer. I enjoy photography, mission trips, sewing, quilting, and reading. Bob is Minister of Education at First Baptist, Centerton, Ark. He also coaches basketball at Life Way Christian School. We spend a lot of our time at church and basketball games. I've been to Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda a total of 7 or 8 times, so it only makes sense to be able to speak a little of the language, right? Thus, the blog title Swahilimama. |
| Interests | I enjoy photography, sewing… and other needle arts, cooking (sometimes), and reading to name a few. I love playing Scrabble and Canasta with my husband… or anyone for that matter. I love Jesus, and love going to Africa on mission trips. God has allowed me to go to Kenya 5 times, Uganda once, and Tanzania twice. Bob & I teach college students in Sunday School. They are great fun! |
