| Introduction | I love books. I love the smell of them, the tactile experience I get when holding them and where I can go when reading a book. I experience the same feelings when I am making a book. Choosing the materials around an idea, creating a journal that someone will fill up with their life's experiences or writing a story for a child, are exciting for me. I have been making books since 2006 and I have not lost my enthusiasm and excitement for what I can create. It's always an adventure into wandering, wondering, designing and creating. Stitching up a book is the best part: bringing all the pieces together. Sometimes I have little 'love affairs' with a book I particularly enjoy - some I keep for my personal collection and others are let go when a new 'little love' comes along. |
