| Introduction | I'm a 37 year old female who reached the final step of acceptance in my grieving process with alcohol. On January 25th 2016 I said in tears "I have a problem; This isn't working for me; I'm done." My sober realization - I had been stumbling around through the other steps for over 7 years. The sense of relief when I made my decision was immeasurable. I know it's the best gift I will have ever given myself. Struggles are ahead, I'm not naive to that but my heart feels full even on dull days - because for once - I'm feeling and THAT is a wonderful feeling. I'm beyond grateful to finally be here. |
