| Introduction | My passion for flowers began with my grandmother. Her yard consisted of flowers with barely enough room for my grandfather’s special ordered grass. She had pink climbing rose bushes, snapdragons in every color, bachelor buttons, and salmon colored poppies literally growing out of the cracks of her driveway. I began collecting slips of her perennials until my yard began to look like hers. My love for gardening grew into “LeFleur Gardeners”, a perennial design business. I later moved to the Charlotte area and left the business to a co-worker who still runs it today. While in Charlotte, I worked as a salesperson for a floral wholesale company. I was surrounded by flowers and loved it. I returned to the Syracuse area and my obsession for flowers has not diminished, which brings me to creating “Flowers by Tammy Calkins.” “Flowers by Tammy Calkins” specializes in wedding and special occasion flowers.
