Introduction Arlette Cepeda (New York, NY) grew up in the Dominican Republic (DR) where she studied music and visual arts for most of her childhood. In 1994, she moved back to New York City after finishing high school to pursue a career in the visual arts. She received a B.A. in Studio Art from Hunter College in 2004. Ms. Cepeda has participated in various collective exhibits and won an honorable mention in the XXIII Visual Arts Biennial of the Museum of Modern Art in Santo Domingo, DR. She was a teaching artist for the Brooklyn Arts Council and PS/IS 111. She was the Administrative Director of CAS/AileyCamp Staten Island and Public Relations Assistant for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Cepeda worked at Petrossian, Inc., a worldwide caviar and gourmet food distributor and famous restaurant and cafe, as Wholesale Coordinator and Boutique Assistant. Arlette currently works at Wagner College as the Coordinator of Community Partnerships for the Center for Leadership and Community Engagement.
