| Introduction | I am the owner of Our Healing Roots, LLC. My interest in healthcare actually began with space medicine. I graduated from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, with an undergraduate degree in physics. There I had the opportunity to do experimentation on NASA's KC-135A (AKA the "Vomit Comet). However, I yearned for more interaction with patients. It was then that I was introduced to naturopathic medicine. I was deeply drawn to the philosophy of this medicine--treat the whole person, address the underlying cause, doctor as teacher, and a belief in the healing power of nature. I chose to attend four years of graduate naturopathic medical training at the oldest naturopathic school in the United States, the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. I am licensed in the state of Washington as a naturopathic physician. I completed my naturopathic oncology residency at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, and was board certified in naturopathic oncology through the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANP).
