Introduction	Linda Elland, President of A2Z Meetings & Events, has devoted almost 30 years to the hospitality industry. Elland has worked in guest contact areas and behind the scenes and understands what makes things flow. Meeting Professional of the Year was presented to her this year by Meeting Professionals International Tampa Bay Area Chapter. Linda was the Vice President of Sales, leading the overall group sales, tour and travel sales, reservations, revenue management, conference services and catering programs for both of the TradeWinds Island Resorts on St. Pete Beach, FL for 6 years. She worked as a consultant for the hospitality industry with Discover Resorts and opened the Hollywood Casino in Shreveport, LA as a trainer for Norton Training & Consulting. Linda was with Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa for twelve years and left as director of sales and marketing. South Seas Plantation on Captiva, FL and the Hotel Pontchartain in Detroit, MI contributed 7 years to her early sales career. Throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s, Linda served as an officer or committee chair on the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association.
Interests	wine tasting and making, bike rides (motor and pedal), boating (speed and sail), spa and anti-age treatments, nutrition, weight management and health, travel of every description, castles and medieval times, festivals and art fairs, theatrical performances
Favorite movies	Comedy, romance and adventure are my favorite types of movies. I am a Netflix girl who rarely watches regular TV.
Favorite music	Classic rock, jazz, new age ... whatever sets the mood.
Favorite books	Most reading is for teaching so I love motivational writers and teachers such as Jeffrey Gitomer, Zig Zieglar, Brian Tracy, Napoleon Hill, Stephen Covey, etc. Trash novels are for beach chairs or plane rides.
