Introduction	My title quote was spoken by Bob Hope. So, where does my seemingly random username, Hawkins1701, come from? When I was a kid, one of my favorite games was the Super Nintendo version of Starfleet Academy. And whenever I played, it gave you a choice of last names for your character. I would always pick the name "Hawkins." The "1701" refers to the registry number of Star Trek's U.S.S. Enterprise. So, there you have it. There are, in fact, sci-fi fans out there....who happen to also be "bitter conservative gun and bible clingers." I'm living proof. Generation Y is supposed to be all about "Hope and Change." They forgot to tell me.
