| Introduction | I grew up surrounded by criminals without knowing they were criminals. My family was connected, so I grew up with an intimate knowledge of the gangsters in Vancouver, British Columbia, so that's what I started writing about. Since then I've branched out a bit; I rewrote Shakespeare and cast southwest desert drug dealers in Mac & Beth – hurly-burly; followed the adventures of a dead biker in a land called Betwixt (where the dead things go); penned a psychological horror so gruesome I still hesitate to publish it; wrote a page-turner espionage thriller; and now I'm working on a series of crime novels set in the dirty-thirties called Devil Brigham's Case Files. |
