Introduction	I started birding when I was 10 years old after being given Peterson's First Guide to Birds of North America. My friend, Marianne, was already birdwatching at the time and really introduced me to the hobby with a trip to Point Pelee National Park in May. From that year forward, birdwatching has become a passion of mine. After getting a degree in Environmental Science at the University of Guelph, I slowly began to pursue a career in birds but as time goes on, I realize just how much I want to work in this field. I love reading and aspire to one day be a writer as well, nature or otherwise.
