| Introduction | Pastor Mark Powell was raised about 9 miles west of Risco in Malden, Missouri where he graduated from high school. After 5 years in the US Air Force he married the former Kim Lillard at Alexandria, VA outside of Washington, D.C. Mark and Kim have three children - Anna, Sarah and Grace. Pastor Mark graduated from Oakland City University with a degree in Bible and received a Master of Arts degree in Religion from Liberty University. The Powells have served General Baptists as missionaries to the Philippines and Honduras. Mark has pastored in Indiana, Illinois and Missouri. He has also served as director of the Tboli Bible Institute in the Philippines and as Field Director of the General Baptist Mission in Honduras. He came to Pleasant View General Baptist Church in October 2001. |
