| Introduction | My Husband and I enjoy cooking. Rarely do we eat out. The greatest compliment Alan ever paid me in cooking was when I took him to his favorite Chinese Restaurant, Pyng Ho, for his birthday. While eating, he suddenly said to me "Not that I don't enjoy this restaurant, obviously this is where I wanted to come, but...you can make this dish just as well". We never returned. Not only did we save 100 bucks but we enjoy the simple pleasure of sitting at the table, conversing while eating. Our three children grew up sitting at this same dinner table every night. It sounds cliche' but in these times, it really isin't. We haven't seen or heard proof that it was the right thing to do but it was what we wanted our children to have as a memory and possibly a secure place in their hearts they could reach in for and reflect. I love photography so I decided to combine the two and make this blog. Now, whenever my children stop off at the grocery on their way home from work, they can access their "smart phones" for recipes they used to call me for...not that I don't want to hear from them but...when unavailable, they won't change their minds and grab fast food for dinner. |
| Interests | Obviously Cooking and Photography. I Ride my horse, garden, read. I just started Tai Chi for looseness and balance for this aging body. Alan loves to shoot M1 Garands and participates in shooting matches twice a month at a nearby Gun Club. |
