| Introduction | Matthew John Dolezal was born in 1983 in Eau Claire, WI. Dan and Lori, Matthew's amateur parents, soon decided to move to Kaukauna, and stayed just long enough for young Matthew to contract a severe case of asthma from the rampant pollution of a local paper mill. The next stop was Appleton, WI. Soon enough, Matthew developed a keen interest in art, which allowed him to do less actual work, and applied this outlook to other areas of his life, whenever possible. Matthew later attended the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in photography. During his stay, he became a proficient writer, developing a unique style that combined elements of satire, self-deprecation, self-glorification, super-sarcasm, absurdism, black humor, and white guilt. After his first round of college, he served in AmeriCorps. Now, he is back for round two of college, studying graphic design at UW Oshkosh, while working part time and procrastinating the rest of the time. |
