| Introduction | RATING SYSTEM; broken down to 3 sections, BREAD, scale of 1-5. Should have a thin crusty outer layer that shatters and leaves you covered in crumbs. Inside should be light and airy. SALAD, scale of 1-5. Must be fresh and clean. Must contain the essentials; Pickled Carrot, Cucumber, Coriander and Chilli. Other variables are welcome such as Onion (spring, purple, pickled or fried shallot) and Radish (usually pickled with carrot) Points deducted for unorthodox ingredients such as Lettuce, Tomato and Cheese etc. MEAT, scale of 1-5. Must be delicious. A variable essential part, often a lucky dip from place to place and hard to rate when comparing different styles. Must be Pork. Either the classic 'Mixed Ham' of different cold sliced porks, the 'BBQ Pork' of spiced and barbecued chops, the 'Grilled Pork' of grilled chops dripping with oil or 'Meatball' of minced pork in rich tomato sauce. Liver Pat'e is essential. Additional points given for combinations such as meatballs and cold sliced porks etc. OVERALL, scale of 1-10. Not a total of other ratings but takes into account many factors including but not limited to; Customer service, Price, Decor and General Taste. |
