| Introduction | Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Sharlene migrated to America with her family in 1973. Although she never went to school in Trinidad, her caribbean roots run deep. She enjoys the best of both worlds...in many, many ways. From the first grade on the West Side in Manhattan where the kids teased her about her accent...after all the #3 is not pronounced like the "tree" outside in the yard:)....... to her H.S years at Erasmus Hall in Brooklyn, Sharlene always made lemonade sweet, but tart enough as life is not perfect. Writing has been her passion her entire life...at 42, she realized that it was a necessary outlet to supplement her faith while she journey's through life's mysteries. |
