Introduction	Rachel Obara grew up in Western Massachusetts and moved to the Boston area in ‘99. Although she never received any formal culinary training she has made it a point to educate herself on the many facets of food. For her, cooking is a form of meditation; an outlet to explore and create dishes that provide not only sustenance but pleasure. Rachel believes in the power of a great dish and the ability food has to bring people together no matter what goes on in the outside world. Lauren DeGenaro grew up in an Italian-American household in Hamden, CT and acquired a love for food at an early age from her talented father, a champion home cook. After honing her basic culinary skills at home, she eventually moved to New Zealand. Working for one of Auckland’s busiest cafés, Lauren gained an appreciation for seasonal food and the benefits of natural and organic ingredients. Lauren has since returned to the United States but is an avid traveler and strives to bring together ingredients from all over the world, paying homage to the cultures she visits. “To my Palate with Love” is the perfect way for Lauren & Rachel to indulge their ever increasing appetite for all things food.
