Introduction	I live in a semi-rural town with my wife of thirty-eight years. Our home is in a beautifully wooded neighborhood, and I enjoy being outdoors as much as possible. Morning coffee outside is a frequent luxury, as are late evening fires on the deck. I retired five years ago, and my new "occupation" has been helping to care for three beautiful granddaughters, who are a major joy in my life. I have two wonderful daughters who both live in the immediate area, so I am blessed with being able to see my entire family all the time! As the youngest grandchild will be spending more time in school next fall, I am looking into part-time work that I can do in my home. I have developed an interest in learning more about making notecards and marketing them, both locally and online. I plan to use nature's gifts from my own backyard with flowers, plants and tree products as my materials. I am still in the planning stage, and would be grateful for any pointers or leads that anyone out there is willing to provide! I am looking forward to interacting with the "blogger" community!

Favorite books	The Eye of the Needle, The Thornbirds, Rage of Angels, Dry, Tim, many books by Lawrence Sanders, Rex Stout, Michael Crichton, James Patterson, Dean Koontz and Jonathan and Faye Kellerman. There are others as well.
