| Introduction | I was a newspaper reporter before returning to college to earn a PhD in English Language and Literature. I’m the author of countless newspaper articles, several scholarly articles, and several books, including a novel/satire, THE DAVE STORE MASSACRE (Academy Chicago/Chicago Review Press), and a history of early 20th Century Irish-American Literature, PRIVATE HISTORIES (University of Notre Dame Press). My latest fiction is slated to appear in a collection to be edited by Eamonn Wall and tentatively set for NYU Press. Knowing academic publishing, I’m confident we’ll all see it before 2045. Meanwhile, I live and teach English in St. Louis with my wife, Sally, the author of the literary history, BANSHEES. |
