| Introduction | Emeritus Professor Steven Bernard Zwickel taught for 27 years in the Technical Communication Program in the College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He also served as Faculty Advisor to the Wisconsin Engineer Magazine (a student-run publication since 1896) and for which Mr. Zwickel has written guidebooks to magazine photography, portrait photography, and photographing places and things. Originally from the best part of New York City, Mr. Zwickel is a graduate of Tilden HS and Harpur College (Binghamton University), where he majored in political science; he has a law degree from Brooklyn Law School (admitted to New York State Bar) and an M.S. in Social Work from the UW–Madison. Mr. Zwickel also earned a Diploma in Graphic Arts/Printing from Madison Area Technical College and worked for several years in the printing industry. Since retiring in 2020, Mr. Zwickel has been a Standardized Patient at the UW Medical School and has volunteered with the Red Cross, ENGin, and other social service agencies. |
