About me

Introduction	The most important thing to know about me is that I, the magazine Bits & Bytes and the Cactus Flower Equestrian Center are figments of the imagination of Gary Syck. He has created me and my world to provide a character to present interesting stories and ideas. There is a wonderful freedom to being a fictional character whose resemblance to any real people, living or dead is purely coincidental. I can live the life that a real person might want to live. I can take weeks to think up that clever response to the idiot who gave me a hard time at the diner. I can do impractical things, assured that my fate is not some random result of a meaningless world, but a carefully planned plot line. That doesn't mean my life is easy. There are times when I would rather face the IRS, homeland security and the DMV combined than get a peek into the twisted imagination of the author. Usually things work out for me, but getting there is often surreal. Thanks for coming along with me through the stories of my life. It's been an entertaining ride for me as I'm sure it will be for you.
