Introduction | Hi, my name is Steve. I was involved in residential construction for many years and a general contractor for about 22 years. In college I studied scenic design and construction, and later took lots of art classes and enjoyed sculpture in different media. I earned my MLS (Library Science) degree in 2010 and became a Young Adult Librarian. I stayed in that job until late 2015. I've been around boats all my life, and until recently I was on a sailboat in the Florida Keys. I've changed my mind and decided not to cruise (I don't want to cruise alone). I sold the boat and I now I’m in Prague in the Czech Republic, getting ready to teach English. |
Interests | I love to build stuff, read, create artwork, sail small boats, read, roller skate, read, cross country ski, play music badly, listen to good music, read, and lots of other fun stuff. And read. |
Favorite music | David Byrne, Oingo Boingo, Manu Chau, the original version of Rubberband Man by The Spinners which is unquestionably the best roller skating song ever created. Mr. Saxobeat is pretty good for skating, too. |
Favorite books | The Little Prince, Dune, Graceling, East of Eden, Eleanor & Park, Little Big Man, Martin Marten, Hanta Yo, and SO many more. |
