| Introduction | CJ and his best friend, Nick Selway, own Lava Light Galleries together in Kailua Kona Hawaii. They spend a great amount of time on the active volcano and travel a few months out of each year to bring their own unique view of the world to everyone. They put their heart, passion and years of photographic skill into every photographic masterpiece that they create. Recently CJ Kale and Nick Selway just risked their lives to be the first to bring a remarkable and unique view of the volcano to the world. They are the first artists in history to enter the surf near the volcano with a surf housing to capture the view of the lava hitting the sea through the surf. To do this they had to enter the water right next to the lava within feet of it's entry point , the water was near scalding and there were lava bombs floating in the water. These are the lengths that they will go to further their art and stand out from the crowd with some of the most unique images on earth. |
