| Introduction | Bill and Marin live in Austin, Tx. I am self employed and Marin works for the state of Texas. We are taking steps toward turning our small south Austin suburban home into a sustainable backyard homestead. Our future plans include raising a small flock of chickens, rabbits, harvesting rainwater, alternate energy, and creating our own little ecosystem or food chain, if you will. Not to mention our raised bed garden areas for growing organic fruits and veggies for eating fresh as well as preserving. So follow us as we take baby steps towards achieving a little more freedom from the rat race we all know. This will be an experience of excitements and failures, but also will reward us in a more meaningful life. So, follow us as we document all of our projects and new endeavors. |
