| Introduction | So hopefully you’re not totally ga-ga over GaGa, because even though the girl can sing and write, I cannot find the music in her songs. My name is Adrianna Shashaty, I'm a journalism major at Iona College, and I have a burning passion and love for music. I listen to every genre of music whether it be Classic Rock, Rap, Dance/Electronic, Motown, Indie, Alternative... and the list goes on. Nothing beats live music. The rush and energy that I feel at a concert/show is almost overwhelming. My body and mind become one with the speakers which then seem to inject the sounds of the guitar, bass, drums, lyrics, etc. into my bloodstream. However, the music I am talking about is NOT the noise coming out of your car radio. It’s the music composed by talented individuals who too share a burning desire to create music that soothes the soul. Not computer generated or edited, rather instrumentally designed and integrated. I'm talkin’ about the DRUMS, the GUITAR, the SAXOPHONE, the BASS, even MARACAS! So if you like to write, sing, play an instrument, go to concerts, or too have fallen hard for music, I am more than interested in what you've got! |
