| Introduction | I am a transplanted Texan from the Llano Estacado region. Since moving to Montana in June 2017, I no longer suffer from bouts of claustrophobia (TREES) and mild depression (LIGHT DEPRIVATION) which seemed to plague me during our years (nearly 30) in North Carolina. I started tatting with my Great, Great Aunt's shuttle (Detach-A-Spool) and a Coats & Clark Learn to ... pamphlet around 1965. In addition to being a member of IOLI since 2002 (Member # 3745); I am the Charter President of Palmetto Tatters Guild in the Columbia, SC area. I have served in several elected positions with the Guild and help out as needed/requested for PTG's Annual TatDays Events. I am also a member of the Tatters Across Time, Inc. Tatting Proficiency Program (T.A.T.) as a mentor and evaluator. I have also been recognized as a Master Tatter within the criteria of the program. I was elected to serve as the Coordinator (basically the CEO) for the T.A.T. organization in January 2021. |
| Interests | Tatting, Knitting, Crochet, Reading, China/Porcelain Painting |
| Favorite movies | History-based pieces, especially those based on real events. Some Romantic Comedies and some Action movies. |
| Favorite music | Nearly everything! I do not care though for Blue Grass, NOLA-style Jazz, and certainly not rap. |
| Favorite books | The Bible, the collected works of William Shakespeare, and many teen-focused series like Nancy Drew, Diana Barry, the Hardy Boys, and Harry Potter. My favorites however are Science Fiction from the Golden Age (the 1920s-1930s) and my favorite author from that period is Isaac Asimov. |
Come up with some possible band names for your group that features a washboard and a styrofoam tuba.
