Introduction	For the last 25 years I have had the good fortune to be married to a wonderful chef. I’ve always loved cooking and I like to think that I can whip a pretty decent meal now and then myself. However, I did not graduate from the Culinary Institute of America; as I have been gently reminded over the years. My role in our kitchen has been primarily that of sous chef. I chop, slice, dice, prep, taste, clean, and generally act as Chef’s aide du camp. We have had the immeasurable pleasure of preparing extravagant holiday fetes, simple family meals, and impromptu gatherings with friends, family, and loved ones for many years. Our mutual love of food, wine and entertaining formed the basis of our relationship and will always play a major role throughout our marriage. Jack’s leadership role in his kitchens made him one of Denver’s top toques for many years. Not only was his food sublime, but his organizational and timing skills allowed for seamless restaurant operations. A top chef is demanding of his staff and himself, there can only be one Boss in the kitchen and in exchange for great meals I’m happy to play sous chef all day long!
