| Introduction | I lost my husband of ten years in February, 2016. This blog chronicles my first year and how I got through. I wrote to get through the grief and I still write in hope that it might help somebody else who is grieving feel slightly less alone. Surviving Widowhood is the perfect name for the first year. I had to learn how to survive without the love of my life who gave me strength. I had to claw my way around to find a way to have strength without him and the only way to do that was to survive.
