Introduction	Thanks for "blogging" into Critical Issues in Education". I chose this topic because I believe so many people out there are connected to education in some form or fashion. I've been teaching for 19 years. My husband is our school policy director, and retired military. We are very motivated to consult on many of the critical issues in education. We see a need in parental involvement and a lack of support from parents. What are your thoughts on this topic. Parent Involvement is just one issue that stands out in education. The high rate of African American boys in alternative schools and special ed. programs...(not to mention prison), testing as the sole measurement for student achievement...These are some of the issues we feel very strongly about. I"m very interested in Organizational Development as it pertains to teacher growth and school environment. I believe in schools that provide a service-oriented outlook toward the people they are there to serve. Let's start the conservation and see where it takes us.
