| Introduction | The short version: I am an animator with a history of over 25 years in the industry starting out in the commercial world of Soho UK doing tv commercials. moving on to Dragon studios and others and later to work at Jester on tv and industrial films ..winning awards in both UK and the US. I embraced the digital age with 5 years in Singapore and New Zealand on cd-rom and educational product, returning to the UK to work as Senior production designer on the 3d series, 64 episode, Bing and Bongs tiny planets for Peppersghost Production. The show won a Bafta in 2003. I won a personal Bafta for my Design of the web site the following year. | Interests | Anything animated,Disney,Pixar,youtube, festivals, and vimeo, and all things illustrated or digitally interesting. As a concept artist,I use watercolour (for the purists) but I am using Photoshop and Painter as standard tools nowadays,for games and digital preperations. But am still old school when it comes to initiating design, Pencil works the best to start the whole process. rough and loose to find stuff. having spent years Animating,designing,and Directing animated product films plus Comic art, and the burgeoning need for design for 3D. the creative process starts there with me..the idea... the pencil... so I draw a lot. |
