Introduction	In September 2001 I woke one morning and decided to go to a pottery class without even registering. I'd wanted to get my hands in clay all my life and at age 59 I decided I'd waited long enough. I got passionately involved and found myself in the studio 3 times a week. I decided to start by learning to throw on the wheel while I was still physically strong enough to do large pieces. Eventually I moved into hand-building and sculptures.
