| Introduction | I was born on December 28, 2007 with Congenitally Corrected Transposition of the Great Arteries (ccTGA or LTGA) and an ebstenoid tricuspid valve. Though you would never know it by looking at me, I have a complicated little heart that has required three heart surgeries--a PA banding on November 24, 2008, a tightening on December 10, 2009, and a 9 hour Double Switch surgery with Bi-Directional Glenn procedure on May 26, 2010. All surgeries were done by Dr. Frank Hanley at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford in California. I am a tough little soldier though, so I made it through each surgery like a champ. Mommy and Daddy say that I am super special and their forever hero! |
